Write for vaeyc
vaeyc accepts guest contributions from writers with genuine expertise in online learning, AI tools, training and development, behavioral science, or career growth. Here is everything you need to know before pitching.
Who We Are Looking For
vaeyc publishes content written by people who know their subject through real professional experience, academic background, or sustained first-hand engagement with the tools and communities they write about. We are not a content farm and we are not looking for general-interest freelancers willing to write about anything. We are looking for subject-matter contributors who can write with authority, intellectual honesty, and a genuine commitment to serving the reader.
Topics We Accept
Guest contributions must fall within one of our five editorial categories:
- AI Learning Tools — practical evaluations, tutorials, comparisons, or critical assessments of AI-powered tools used in learning, studying, or professional development contexts.
- Online Education — analysis of MOOCs, online degree programs, micro-credentials, or the broader online-learning ecosystem.
- Training & Development — evidence-based approaches to workplace learning, instructional design, L&D strategy, and professional upskilling.
- Behavioral Science — accessible translations of research on cognition, memory, motivation, habit formation, or psychology as applied to learning.
- Career Growth — practical, research-informed guidance on skill development, career transitions, mentorship, and workforce readiness.
Quality Standards
We apply the same standards to guest contributions as we do to in-house articles. Every submission must meet all of the following criteria:
- Original — the article must not have been published elsewhere, in full or in substantial part, before being submitted to vaeyc.
- Minimum 1,400 words — we do not publish thin content. Articles should be substantive enough to genuinely serve the reader.
- Three or more cited sources — all factual claims must be supported by credible primary or authoritative secondary sources, clearly cited in the text.
- Human-written — we do not accept AI-generated or AI-spun prose. Submissions that appear to have been produced primarily by an AI writing tool will be rejected without further consideration.
- No undisclosed promotional intent — you may write about tools or services you use, but you must disclose any financial or professional relationship with the companies you mention.
What We Do Not Accept
- Content about cryptocurrency, blockchain, or financial investment topics
- Thinly veiled promotional articles for products or services
- Articles that duplicate existing content on vaeyc or elsewhere
- Submissions from individuals who do not agree to be identified by their real name in the byline
Byline Policy
All published guest articles carry a real name byline and a short author bio. We do not publish anonymous content. The bio should accurately reflect your professional background, and we reserve the right to verify credentials before publication.
How to Pitch
Send a pitch email to [email protected] with the subject line “Guest Pitch: [Proposed Article Title]”. Your pitch should include:
- A working title and one-paragraph summary of the article
- Your proposed angle or central argument
- Two or three bullet points on what the reader will learn or gain
- A brief bio (3–5 sentences) covering your relevant experience
- Links to two or three writing samples if available
We aim to respond to pitches within five business days. We receive a high volume of submissions and regret that we cannot provide detailed feedback on rejected pitches.
